The Multifunctional profile molding is extremely handy to Solve a variety of installation challenges with one piece of molding. You can use the same profile for all finishing situations. Simply cut the basic profile to the shape required using the Incizo 5 in 1 cutting tool. A single profile can be used in 5 ways:
- T-Mold – transition between two floors of equal height. Used for connecting two different flooring types or two sections of flooring of equal height. To create the T-molding use the cutting tool to pare off everything but the middle channel. The T-molding that results fit perfectly into the expansion profile.
- Hard Surface Reducer – the transition between floors of varying heights. Used for transitioning to a floor of lower height. Use the cutting tool to remove one side of the molding. Snap the center of the piece into the center channel of the adapter profile while leaving the intact angle to contact the lower surface.
- Carpet Reducer – the transition between hard surface flooring and carpet. To create a transition from your flooring to carpet, you’ll need to use the cutting tool to cut off the angled edge of the Incizo molding. Then using the end profile, align the narrow side with the flooring and the blunt end butting into the carpet.
- End Molding – the transition between a floor and fixed edges. Used for finishing your floor at a doorway, fireplace mantel, or wall, you can use the molding with the blunt edge toward the wall or doorway. Use the cutting tool to remove the angled edge. Snap it into the end profile and the transition is complete.
- Stair nose – As a stair profile finishing your laminate stairs or steps installation. The molding can be cut to work as either a top step transition piece overlapping onto your laminate floor, the next step or it can be used as a flush-mounted stair nose. Stair nose application is used to finish the edge of stairs and step-down areas. *Stair Nose Sub-profile track sold separately. To use as a step edging, an aluminum stair nosing base must be purchased separately.*
